Two decades of New Orleans show floors
New Orleans runs on events. Between conventions, consumer shows, corporate meetings, and everything the hotels host in between, the city keeps a lot of exhibit halls busy — and it draws general services contractors from all over the country to work them.
We are not one of those. Gulf Coast Event Services is based an hour up I-10 in Baton Rouge, and we have been decorating New Orleans shows for over twenty years. Our crew drives in; nobody flies. Our inventory comes off our own trucks rather than out of a freight terminal. When something needs fixing at seven in the morning on show day, the fix is a phone call and a short drive, not a rebooked flight.

Pipe & Drape
Booth backwalls, siderails, room dividers, and stage surrounds in Black, Blue, Burgundy, Carolina Blue, Gold, Green, Purple, Red, Silver, and White. Enough stock on hand to drape a full exhibit hall, not just the head table.
Event Carpeting
Aisle carpet, booth carpet, and wall-to-wall coverage in Black, Blue, Green, Red, and Silver. We have laid carpet across the entire Superdome floor, so square footage is rarely the problem.
Signage & Lettering
Entrance banners, registration and wayfinding signs, booth identification, and sponsor panels — made and hung by the same crew that builds the floor.
Exhibitor Kits & Shipping
Your exhibitors order their own furnishings through an online kit, and we handle expo shipping and material handling. Out-of-town exhibitors are where most show-week email comes from; this removes it.
Setup & Breakdown
Install and dismantle on the venue's dock schedule, worked around union rules where they apply. The floor is finished before doors open and cleared once the show closes.
Crowd Control & Power
Stanchions and barriers for queues and entrances, plus an electrical department that powers everything from corporate food shows to state fairs.
What we have built in New Orleans
We have carpeted the entire floor of the Superdome — the Caesars Superdome now, though most people around here still just call it the Dome. We have decorated the New Orleans Car Show for more than twenty years running, and we are the exclusive decorator for the Pontchartrain Home Show, a relationship that is now into its second decade.
Alongside those we handle association conventions, corporate food shows, career fairs, and hotel ballroom events across the metro area. Show organizers do not re-bid a decorator who makes their week easy, and a good share of our New Orleans work is the same events year after year.
Venues and the union question
Beyond the Superdome we work hotel ballrooms and meeting space throughout the metro area. Every room has its own rules — dock access, freight routes, what time you can get on the floor, and which work is union-designated. Knowing that in advance is the difference between an install that finishes early and a crew waiting on a freight elevator.
